Obituary of Dixie Kinman Dixie Kinman, 73, Jonesboro, passed away at 1:19 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born in Marion on September 27, 1944, to the late James and Edna (Skeens) Brown. On October 31, 1964, Dixie married Larry Kinman, and he survives.

A graduate of Mississinewa High School, Dixie was a homemaker and committed her life to serving her husband and family. She was actively involved as a clown with Smile Seekers, known as “Etta”. She enjoyed puzzles, taking walks, and being around her grandchildren.

She attended Marion 7th Day Adventist Church. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry; daughters, Dian Kinman, Jonesboro, and Joette Henderson, Van Buren; son, Roger Kinman, Gas City; grandchildren, Albert “A.J.” (Amber Oswalt) Henderson, Jr., and Kassidy Henderson; great-granddaughter, RaeLynn Henderson; brother, Tom Brown, Fairmount; sister-in-law, Barb Brown; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members. Also preceding her in death was her brother, James Brown, and nephew, Eddie Brown.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Dixie’s funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN. Pastor Matt Hasty will be officiating with burial following at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to help defer funeral expenses.
