Donald’s Obituary Danville, Illinois – Donald E. Martin, 76, of Danville, Illinois passed away at 6:37 pm on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois. Donald was born August 18, 1942 in Danville, Illinois to Lloyd and Nellie Ruth Talbert Martin. He married Elaine Dessie Cumbow on September 11, 1960 in Danville, Illinois.

She survives. Also surviving are: four sons: Donald E. Martin Jr. of Danville, Illinois, Joseph Lee Martin of Danville, Illinois, Russell Lee (Marilyn) Martin of Cool Ridge, Virginia, and Jim (Lisa) Quick of Danville, Illinois; two brothers: Lloyd (Camilla) Martin of Oakwood, Illinois and Robert Martin of Georgetown, Illinois; five grandchildren: Shane Martin, Jessica (Donnie) Toth, Nicole Martin, Adam Reeb, and Madison Reeb; and four great-grandchildren: Gavin Toth, Arabelle Toth, Leah Martin, and Elliot Reeb. He was preceded in death by one brother: Dave.

Donald was an operating engineer out of Union Local 841, Danville, Illinois. He was an assistant scoutmaster who enjoyed grilling, camping, and traveling. He enjoyed NASCAR and built sprint cars.

Funeral services 10 am on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Southside Church of Christ, Danville, Illinois with Pastor Kevin Ziegler officiating. Burial in Sunset Cemetery, Danville, Illinois. Visitation 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Robison Chapel, Catlin, Illinois.
