Obituary for Donald Eugene Finch RICHMOND, Ind. – Donald Eugene Finch, age 86, of Richmond, Indiana, died Friday, September 28, 2018, at Reid Health. Born June 16, 1932, in Connersville, Indiana, to Charlie and Helen Hall Finch, Don lived in Fayette and Wayne county most of his life.

He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. Don was a salesman for Holsum Bread in Fort Wayne. He was a founding member of Bethesda Worship Center.

Don enjoyed bowling, yard work, boating and time spent in Tennessee, and caring for the family pets. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Evelyn Coon Finch; daughter, Erica (Scott) Grimes of Richmond; sons, Charlie (Mary) Campbell of North Carolina, Dave (Cheryl) Finch of Richmond, and Bret Finch of Fort Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren, Ashley McCarty of Richmond, Jamie (Tabitha) Dickerson of North Carolina, Shawn (Mindy) Wampler of Economy, Indiana, Kristina Baker of Richmond, Rachel (Mitch) Johnson of Williamsburg, Indiana, Dustin and Cassandra Finch, both of Fort Wayne, Sara (Eric) Jasper of Richmond, Katie Elliott of Michigan, Craig (Jennifer) Campbell and Candice (Jose) Gonzalez, both of North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Scout Wampler, Kamdyn and Rilynn Dickerson, Emma Finch Johnson, Wesley and Abigail Johnson, Haedyn Baker, Ali Jasper, Shelby and Corbyn Campbell, Heaven Schmid, and Davi, Anessa, Kahlani, and Hayden Gonzalez; sister, June Todd of Illinois; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carla Beth Tucker; infant daughter, Ina Mae Finch; mother, Helen Beach; father, Charlie Finch; and brother, Richard “Dick” Finch.

Visitation for Donald Eugene Finch will be from 5:00 to 8:00 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Kendal Harris officiating.
