Obituary for Barbara J. Finley Westfield, Ind. – Barbara J. Finley, age 90, of Richmond, Indiana, died Monday, September 3, 2018, at Maple Park Village in Westfield. Born July 31, 1928, in Cambridge City, Indiana, to Simon and Edith Dale Fowler, Barbara was a life-long resident of Wayne County.

She was a 1946 graduate of Lincoln High School. Barbara was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a supporter of and a volunteer for the Richmond Symphony Orchestra.

Survivors include her children, Lynne (Daniel) Ketring of Noblesville, Indiana, Gary (Patricia) Finley of Dublin, Indiana, Sheila Acheson of Richmond, Jeffrey (Julia) Finley of Garrett, Indiana, and Gregory (Julia) Finley of Richmond; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Fred, Mick, and Wilbur Fowler. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 68 years, Robert E. Finley, who died March 18, 2017; parents; brother, Bill Fowler; grandson, Nathan Ketring; and son-in-law, Steven Acheson. Visitation for Barbara J. Finley will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2018, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3333 Backmeyer Road, Richmond.

Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2018, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Scott Lee officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
