Obituary for Floyd E. Westover RICHMOND, Ind. – Floyd E. Westover, age 98, of Wayne County, died Sunday, September 2, 2018, at Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce, Florida. Born December 10, 1919, in Henry County, Indiana, to James Elvin and Lillian Creager Westover, Floyd graduated from Raleigh High School in 1938.

He lived most of his life in Wayne County, Indiana. Floyd served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He farmed most of his life in Wayne and Union County.

Floyd attended Central Christian Church of Richmond and Southside Christian Church of Fort Pierce, Florida. He enjoyed fishing and playing pool, cornhole, softball, and euchre. Survivors include his daughters, Lucille (Tom) Layton of Kokomo, Indiana, Louise Briar of Fort Pierce, Florida, Sandra (Stephen) Watts of Bakersfield, California, Nancy (Richard) White of Richmond, and Barbara (Rick) Coffey of Centerville, Indiana; sons, Richard (Kathy) Westover of Centerville, Keith Westover of Orlando, Florida, and John Westover of Richmond; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Betty J. Westover, who died December 14, 2008; sons, David E. and Stephen Westover; and grandson, David M. Westover. Visitation for Floyd E. Westover will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor R. Scott Paul officiating.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by the Wayne County Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to: Centerville-Abington Senior Center, 111 South 2nd Street, Centerville, IN 47330. Condolences may be sent to the family via the guest book at www.
