Donald E. Pick, 81, of Sugarloaf, formerly of Glen Iron, entered into rest at 2:25 p.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Hospice, Allentown. He was born January 25, 1937, in Laurelton, a son of the late Warren and Sara (DeLong) Pick. On September 5, 1959, in the Lincoln Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurelton, he married the former Marie E. Himes, who survives.

Donald was a 1954 graduate of Mifflinburg High School. After high school, he served in the Air Force from 1954 until his honorable discharge in 1957. Donald was employed at the United States Post Office, Devon, for many years until he retired in 2008.

Earlier in life, he worked at Watsontown Brick, and the B.F. Goodrich tire plant, Spring City, for 19 years. He was a member of the Lincoln Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurelton, and attended the Conyngham United Methodist Church. Donald was a sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, and was grateful to witness the Eagles win a Super Bowl this year.

He was a kind hearted and gentle soul and a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. Surviving in addition to his wife of 58 years, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher and Nicole Pick of Philadelphia, and Curtis and Cindy Pick of Sugarloaf; two daughters and one son-in-law, Donna Upson of Pottstown, and Brenda and Mike Warwick of Limerick; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Wanda Pick of Millmont, and Carl and Sandy Pick of Watsontown; two sisters, Miriam “Mim” Pick of Lewisburg, and Judy Paynter of Milton; seven grandchildren, Jordan, Emily, Mike, Carrie, Tony, Kaitlyn, and Josh; and two great grandchildren, Breezy and Cedar. He was preceded in death by one son, Barry Pick; and one sister, Patricia Snyder.

Family and friends are welcome from 1 to 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd. , Mifflinburg, where the funeral service will be conducted at 2, with Pastor Cheryl Trent, officiating. Burial will be in the Lincoln Chapel Cemetery, Laurelton.
