Donald J. Bane, 82, of Janesville, WI, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 surrounded by his loving wife and family. Don was born July 19,1935 in Elmwood, Il the son of John and Beth (Shively) Bane. Don graduated from Brimfield High School .

He married Donna Lopeman in Yates City Il, on October 16, 1955. Don started his career at Caterpillar in Peoria before moving his family to Wisconsin and working at Sta-Rite Industries before going to work for the Delavan-Darien school district where… Read More » he was the Grounds and Maintenance Supervisor. Don enjoyed playing cards with friends along with Polka dancing and traveling.

He belonged to the moose. Don also was on various boards at the Milton United Methodist Church. He was once noted to say he never went anywhere he didn’t know someone.

Don is survived by his wife Donna; daughters Kathy (Terry) Welch of Delavan, WI, JoAnn (Joe) Krasnov of Fogelsville, PA, and Mary Lynne (David) Williams of Virginia Beach, VA; Sister Dixie (Voris) Wells of DuBois, Wyoming; brother Jerry (Deb) Bane of East Peoria, IL. Grandchildren; Aaron, Erik, Kevin, Ryan, Kyle, Rebecca and eight Great Grandchildren. Don is preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry Bane, and a great grandson .

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Milton United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the start of the services. Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Milton are assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Don’s name to the Milton United Methodist Church or Mercy Hospice of Janesville. Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Milton 828 S. Janesville Street 608. 868.
