Don was born March 29, 1944 in Thomas, MI to the late Leroy and Eliza (Burk) Lawson. He married Judy Spencer on December 5, 1961 in Sandusky, MI.

Don retired after many years as an electrician. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and watching football. Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy Lawson; two children, Brenda (Richard) Ahlgren and Leisha (Clarence) Nichting; four grandchildren, Adam (Kayla) Ahlgren, Alyssa (Eric) Hohmann, Travis Nichting and Jeramiah Nichting; two great-grandchildren, Adrian Hohmann and Riley Hohmann; three sisters, Jeanette Rooney, Ruthann Hurley and Barbara (Hal) Lindke and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Rose Marie Lawson. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette with Reverend Jerry Griggs officiating. The Family will receive visitors from 11 AM until the time of service Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the funeral home.
