DONALD R. MARSDEN, age 82, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at his home. He was born on May 21, 1936 in Boston to John H. and Isabelle Marsden. He was a graduate of Boston College where he received his degree in accounting and worked as a Certified Public Accountant.

He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He had worked as a CPA with R&C Rivers Company and prior to that, he did contract CPA work with the Mid-Ohio Chemical Company. Don traveled the world in such places as Iran and Iraq while working with the Government along with NASA.

He was a book collector and loved mystery novels and WWII history as well as being an avid train collector. Don was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Margie Pickett Marsden, whom he married on May 15, 1996; his children, Vickie (Cliff) Cooper, Randy Marsden, David (Sandy) Marsden, Craig Marsden, Kimberly Linsinbigler; step-children, Margie (Tom) Smales, Tina Coburn; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

A viewing will take place on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 2-6 pm at the Summers Funeral Home, after which military honors will be accorded by the Fayette County Honor Guard.
