Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw. Donald was born August 24, 1929 in Mayville to the late Herman and Edna (Weiler) Werner. He served his country in the Korean War as a Corporal.

Donald married Florence Chantiny on April 12, 1958 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville. He loved hunting, fishing, playing cards, gardening and volunteering time to the Mayville VFW Post #10884. Donald is survived by his wife of 60 years, Florence Werner; and his son, Scott Werner.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Richard Werner; and three sisters, Marion Marlow, Geraldine Kitchen and Margaret Ann Kutzbach. A Memorial Service will be held this summer with military honors provided by the Mayville VFW Post #10884 and the Mayville American Legion Post #181. Memorial contributions may be made to the VA Palliative Care Team from Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw.
