It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy D. Paisley announces her passing after a brief illness, on Sunday, July 22, 2018, at the age of 96 years. Dorothy is reunited in heaven with her husband Paul K. Paisley of 57 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Paul (Kathy), George (Florence), and Jack (Cherie).

Grandma Dot will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Tim, Sarah, Brian, Patrick, Abbey, Mark and Michelle and her great grandchildren Paige, Paul, Lucy, Patrick, Hannah, Oliver, Everett and Darick. She was preceded in death by her three brothers and two sisters. Dorothy was the last of that generation.

Dorothy was born in Brimfield, Ohio on June 28, 1922 and graduated from Rootstown High School. Dorothy enjoyed roller skating and riding a tandem with her husband, crocheting, doing needlework and mowing her own lawn on her John Deere tractor. She was a life time deaconess at the First Congregational Church in Newton Falls.

Dorothy’s greatest joy was entertaining her family with many holiday dinners and picnics. Most of all Grandma Dot enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home at 30 Ridge Road in Newton Falls, Ohio.

The family of Dorothy cordially invites you to join in celebrating her life on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 10:00 AM with a service beginning at 11:00 AM. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Mennonite Disaster Service, 583 Airport Road, Lititz, PA 17543. .
