Dorothy’s Obituary Dorothy Jane Jones, 76, of Concordia, MO, died Sunday, February 10, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2019 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Concordia with Pastor Michael Pottschmidt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, St. Paul’s Lutheran Grade School, or Saint Paul Lutheran High School. An online guestbook is available at www.

campbell-lewis.com Born January 30, 1943 in Vincennes, IN, she was the daughter of the late Lorenz Levenhagen and Hulda Louise Yochum Levenhagen. Dorothy was raised in the Vincennes area and was a 1960 graduate of Vincennes High School. On December 14, 1963 she married James Merle Jones who preceded her in death on May 13, 2003.

Dorothy was a registered nurse and worked in nursing homes throughout her career. She moved to the Concordia area in 1989 and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Survivors include four children: Michael Jones (Michelle) of Clarinda, IA, Linda Brooks (Tim) of Independence, MO, Andrew Jones (Jennifer) of Concordia, MO, and Jennifer Rankin of Concordia, MO; eight grandchildren: Christopher Jones, Emily Jepson, Quentin Jones, Nathan Jones, Wyatt Jones, Katelyn Rankin, Abigail Rankin, and Noah Rankin; seven siblings: Donald Levenhagen of Fremont, NE, Charles Levenhagen of Oak Ridge, TN, Arlen Levenhagen, Judith Woolsey, and Frederick Levenhagen, all of Indianapolis, IN, Linda Canada of El Paso, TX, and Janice Levenhagen of Indianapolis, IN; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Levenhagen.
