Dorothy Lowery Hollomon March 27, 1934 – February 23, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Dorothy Lowery Hollomon, 84, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Bells Nursing Home. She was born on March 27, 1934, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, Floyd and Lucy Kate Pruitt Lowery. Dorothy was a homemaker.

She was a member of Parr Avenue Church of Christ and a member of the Garden Club. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2019 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Scott Owen and Mr. Jay Hollomon officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 12-2 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Dyersburg Funeral Home. Survivors include her daughter, Amy Schultz and husband, Carl, of Dyersburg; a son, Jay Hollomon and wife, Meredith, of Nashville; two sisters, Patty Jeffries of Memphis and Betty Swims of Jackson; a brother, Ted Lowery of Jackson; five grandchildren, John Schultz, Lee Schultz, Suzanne Schultz, Grant Hollomon and Lindsey Hollomon; and one great-grandson, Samuel Schultz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Moore Hollomon; two sisters, Imogene Butcher and Frances Slaughter; and two brothers, James Lowery and Billy Ray Lowery.

Pallbearers will be John Schultz, Lee Schultz, Grant Hollomon, Greg Swims, Todd Swims and Andy Swims. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Dementia Society of America.
