Obituary for Dorothy R. Watson Dorothy R. Watson passed away on Sunday June 3, 2018 in New Albany Indiana. She was born on November 11, 1940 in Louisville, KY. She was the daughter of the late George and Inez (Saling) Davis.

Dorothy was a homemaker who took pride in caring for her family over her many years. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Billy S. Watson in October 2017, and a granddaughter Kyelcie Yates. She is survived by her children, sons, Richard Nance (Joanne) of Louisville, KY, Mark Nance and his fiancée Lisa Stalcup of Edmonton, KY, Daughters Pamela Yates (Dennis) of Louisville, KY Cherrice Burkhart (Tim) of Memphis, IN, and grandchildren, Jason Smith, Jennifer Nance, Tasha Myers, and Adam Myers.

Funeral services were held 3:00 pm on June 7, 2018 at Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville, KY with interment at Layman Cemetery in Caneyville. Visitation for family and friends was held on Thursday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Dermitt Joyce Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs.Watson.
