She was born Thursday, March 20, 1947, in Ogden, Utah. Growing up was the oldest of seven children. At a very young age she learned to take care of people.

She had a way of making people feel loved. She always put others needs before her own. Anywhere Dorothy went she ran, she was always in a hurry to find the next person in need and offer her love and support.
