Dorothy M. LaBar, 83, of Easton, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at her home. Born January 30, 1936, in Forks Township, PA, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Minnie (Garren) Van Horn. Her husband of 62 years, James R. LaBar, Sr., died August 28, 2018.

Dorothy enjoyed her family and socializing with others. God’s greatest commandment is to love one another. Dorothy followed this commandment faithfully.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Easton. Surviving are three sons, James R. LaBar, Jr., of Catasauqua, Lincoln D. LaBar and his companion Aida Boyle, of Bath and Judd A. LaBar and his wife Phyllis, of Easton; a daughter, Lori J. Young and her husband Jack, of Walnutport; two brothers, Earl Van Horn, of Denver, CO and Walter Van Horn, of Easton; ten grandchildren, Lauren, Lance, Christian, Breanne, Michael, Luke, Audrey, Kaylee, Dylan and Brandon and two great-grandsons, Noah and Blake. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Ethel King and Irene Van Brackle.

Private arrangements are under the direction of the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough.
