Dortha S. (Dot) Korn, 79, of Anderson passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019. Dot was born in Sidney,Ohio on December 7,1939 to the late Marietta (Vorhees) Shepard and Arthur Shepard. On October 6, 1962 she married John W. Korn.

Dot is survived by her six children: Vicki (Doug) Stephens of Sidney, Ohio; Mark (Vicky) Korn of Richmond, Indiana; Jerry Hogge II of Indianapolis, Indiana; Paul Hogge of Indianapolis, Indiana; Darren (Katharine) Korn Cincinnati, Ohio; Gavin (Beverly) Korn of Frankton, Indiana; and sister Betty Spiegel of Louisville, Kentucky, also a special friend Sherry Ditton. Dot was extremely proud of her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dot attended Old Dominion College in Virginia.

During high school she excelled at sports and music, and was a gifted pianist, earning numerous awards. She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, painting, fishing and gardening. Watching sports, Jeopardy, and CSI occupied a great deal of her leisure time.

She worked throughout her lifetime and retired from Rangeline Auto Parts in Anderson. Dot was preceded in death by John W. Korn, her husband of 52 years; her parents; her brother, Harold Wooten; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A private family graveside service will be held in accordance with Dot’s wishes.

Harper and Dunnichay Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions may be made to Florida Station Church of God 1045 W. 375 N. Anderson, IN 46011. Post online condolences at www.
