Obituary for Dr. Robert “Bob” Gene Green Dr. Robert (Bob) Gene Green, of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Panama City Beach (Bay Point), Florida, died peacefully on March 29, 2018. He was born March 22, 1925, in Naylor, Missouri. He married Donna Slinkard on June 10, 1950, and together they raised two children, Gordon (Janet) Green of Lyons, Indiana, and Missy (Rich) Walker of Edwardsville, Illinois.

They have five grandchildren, Megan (Tim) Davis, Molly (Daniel) Reider, Brooks (Erin) Green, Austin (Michelle) Walker, and Collin Walker. They also have seven great-grandchildren, Rosie, Maggie, and Lindy Davis, Charlie and Poppy Reider and Claire and Emmett Green. Also surviving are Bob’s two brothers, Ralph Green, Jr. and Sam Green.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Donna and his parents, Ralph and Beulah Green. Bob was a graduate of Wiley High School in Terre Haute, Indiana; Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana; and Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, Indiana. His memberships included the American Dental Association and the Country Club of Terre Haute.

Bob was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Panama City Beach, Florida. Bob had a passion for tennis, golf, travel, gardening, and sharing time with friends and family. Bob served in the Army in World War II and was present on D-Day on the front lines as a field artillery observer.

He returned from the war and graduated from Indiana State University, then completed dental school at Indiana University. He then returned to the army during the Korean Conflict as a dentist. Dr. Robert Green practiced in Terre Haute, Indiana for nearly 40 years before retiring in 1990.

He spent his retirement years in Terre Haute, Indiana and Panama City Beach (Bay Point), Florida. Memorials may be made to the Wabash Valley Community Foundation in Terre Haute, Indiana.
