Duane Thomas Palkki, 75, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away October 16, 2018 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on June 30, 1943 in Virginia , Minnesota to Jacob and Daisy Palkki. He was an Army Veteran serving 20 years, including two tours in Vietnam.

He was an avid walker, having walked Volksmarches in 48 states. He enjoyed mountain biking and had done a five hundred mile bike ride in the Rockies. His favorite vacation destination was Cancun, Mexico.

Duane is survived by his wife, Andrea Stouffer Palkki of Chambersburg, his daughter, Carol (wife of Michael Sarna) Palkki of Thompsons Station, Tennessee and his step-daughter, Wendy (wife of Paul) Hadley of Pioneertown, California. A private Celebration of his life will be held by his family in his favorite place, Cancun, Mexico at their convenience. .
