Herbert L. Hostler, 89, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and formerly of Ft. Loudon, passed away November 21, 2018. He was born on October 17, 1929 in Mifflintown, Pennsylvania to Holmes L. and Ottilla (McCahren) Hostler.

He had worked for DeRose Industries for much of his life and retired from Mt. Parnell Fisheries. He enjoyed Port Royal Speedway and watching baseball.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his three children: Winifred (wife of Darcy) Bock of Ft. Loudon, Michael (husband of Pam) Hostler of Ft.

Loudon, and Mitch (husband of Christina) Hostler of Mercersburg. He has five grandchildren: Derek, Drew, Brett, Cole, and Corrine and two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Broc. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Tritle Hostler in 2002 as well as three sisters and five brothers.

He is the last of his immediate family. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday Nov. 27, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, ST.

Thomas with the Rev. E. Loy Garber officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Stenger Hill Cemetery, FT. Loudon.
