Edith Garraux, 93, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019, at Crown Pointe in Lebanon. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on July 1, 1925, a daughter of the late George and Bertha McFarland. Edith graduated from South Hills High School in Pittsburgh and lived a majority of her life in Southport, Indiana before moving to Lebanon in 2014.

On July 17, 1948, she was married to Wayne R. Garraux. They shared 41 wonderful years together; he preceded her in death on August 16, 1989. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She took pride in caring for her family and was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include one daughter, Sandra (Rick) Willis; two sons, Robert (Linda) Garraux and Jeffrey Garraux; son-in-law, Ron Ray; five grandchildren, Courtney Nienaber, Ashley Willis, Oliver Garraux, Emilee Garraux, Lana Garraux; three great grandchildren, Ciarra, Cienna and Emma. In addition to her parents and husband, Edith was preceded in death by a daughter, Suzanne Ray.

Funeral Services are planned for Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, with Rev. Elmer Price officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from noon until the time of service at the funeral home in Lebanon.

Entombment will follow services at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greenwood Indiana. Memorials may be directed to Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana Chapter 50 East 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240-1554.
