Linda Crum June 23, 1933 – February 18, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Mrs. Linda Crum, 85, of Thorntown, passed away Feb. 18, 2019 surrounded by her family at Homewood Health Campus. Linda was born June 23, 1933, in Thorntown, a daughter of the late William and Saralouise (Booher) Stultz.

She was married to Billy Joe Crum for over 63 years. He survives. Linda was a 1951 graduate of Thorntown High School and Purdue University.

She had a Master’s degree in Home Economics and retired in 1998 after 22 years of teaching Home Economics at Western Boone High School. Linda was a former member of P.E.O. Sisterhood Chapter A Thorntown and a 4-H leader. She could be found riding her bike all over Thorntown or taking walks.

She was an avid Bridge player too. She also enjoyed quilting, painting pictures and knitting Christmas stockings for her family. For 17 years, Linda and Joe would travel to Lake Placid, FL for the winter months.

Linda attended Thorntown Presbyterian Church and Sugar Plain Friends Church. Survivors include her husband Joe, children: Jody (Joe) Durham of Lebanon, IN, Lisa (Vince) Bailey of Louisville, KY and Dan Crum of San Diego, CA; grandchildren: Nathan (Jill) Durham of Roscoe, IL, Natalie (Scott) Batts of Lebanon, IN, Nicholas (fiancé Laura) Bailey of Atlanta, GA and Austin Bailey of Lexington, KY; great grandchildren: Cameron and Evelyn Durham; a sister, Sharon (Dan) Dearing of Costa Mesa, CA. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Jeremy Durham.

Family and friends will gather Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019, for visitation from 2-6 p.m. and the funeral service will be held on Monday, Feb. 25, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
