Robert D. Patterson, 80, passed away at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon on Thursday, January 15, 2019. He was born in Hamilton County, Ohio, on April 4, 1938, the son of the late Joseph B. and Effie M. (Price) Patterson. Robert was a 1956 graduate of Ben Davis High School.

On June 4, 1990, he was married to Virginia S. (Sanders) Patterson in Summerset, Kentucky. She preceded him in death on June 8, 2016. Robert had worked many years in landscaping and owned and operated Fayette Nursery.

He was a faithful member of New Hope Christian Church in Whitestown. Among other things, he enjoyed pets especially his donkey. Survivors include: Three Sons: Bob Patterson of Indianapolis, Indiana Bryan Patterson of Lebanon, Indiana Billy Patterson of Indianapolis, Indiana Eight Grandchildren Several Great Grandchildren Two Sisters: Stecil Ferguson of Lebanon, Indiana Josephine Arms of Indianapolis, Indiana Nephew: Daniel Connors of Plainfield, Indiana Stepdaughter: Kathy Jordan of Carmel, Indiana Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at New Hope Christian Church, 5780 South Main Street, in Whitestown, Indiana.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory in Lebanon have been entrusted with his arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to New Hope Christian Church, 5780 South Main Street, Whitestown, Indiana 46075.
