Edith Roark Dalton, age 97, of Axton, VA, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Roman Eagle Health and Rehab. Mrs. Dalton was born on November 12, 1920 in Ashe County, NC, a daughter of the late Cody Romey Roark and Bell Roark. She lived most of her life in Axton where she was a homemaker and was married to Harry Dalton who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Dalton is survived by her sons, Clyde Dalton and Harold Dalton; daughters, Ruth Kiely, and Bobbie L. Quesenberry; sister, Louise Phillips; special grandson, Jimmy Dalton; many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dalton was predeceased by her daughter, Betty Jean Dalton; son, James Ray Dalton, Sr. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in Danville Memorial Gardens with Rev. J. B. Baldridge officiating.
