Obituary for Rachel Bailey Rachel Collins Bailey, 81, went home to be with her Lord on Sun. , Sept. 2, 2018, at Roman Eagle Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center after being in declining health for several years.

Mrs. Bailey was born in Pittsylvania County on Sept. 27, 1936, daughter of the late Earl Collins and the late Jimmie Haymore Collins. She spent all of her life in the Danville and Northern VA areas where she was a graduate of the Whitmell Farm Life School Class of 1954.

She went on to become an administrator for Sleepy Hollow Manor in Annandale, VA, for 22 years. Prior to that, she worked for the Washington Old Dominion Railroad in Falls Church, VA. She was a member of Kentuck Baptist Church.

On December 14, 1957, she married Reynard Russell Bailey, who survives. In addition to her husband she is survived by daughters, Janet Bailey Crafaik of Stafford County, VA, Angela Salazar Raines and husband Geoffrey of Fredericksburg, VA; step daughter, Vickie Carson and husband, Junior of Danville, VA; brothers, Paul Collins of Ringgold, VA and Jerry Collins and wife Carmen of Ringgold, VA; grandchildren, Joey Miller, Jennifer Miller Wobrock, Nicholas Salazar and Mikey Salazar; and great grandchildren, Bennett Wobrock and Oliver Miller. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel with the Reverend Alan Mahan officiating.

Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service and at other times will be at the residence of her husband, 4180 Riverside Dr Unit 408 Danville, VA 24540. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial donations be made to Gods Pit Crew at 2499 North Main St Danville, VA 24540 or to Kentuck Baptist Church, 1845 Kentuck Church Rd, Ringgold, VA 24586.
