Obituary for Edward “Ed” Franklin Edward “Ed” Chesley Franklin, age 84, of Pleasant View, died Sunday, October 14th, 2018 at his home. Memorial services will be conducted at 3 o’clock pm Sunday, October 21st at the Adams United Methodist Church (7538 Hwy 41N, Adams, TN 37010) with Billy Vogle officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 2:00PM until the hour service.

Mr. Franklin was born January 5, 1934 in Vacaville, CA to the late Jess C. Franklin and Anna Lytle Hogg. He was an U.S. Marine Corp Veteran and was a retired highschool teacher. In addition to his parents, Mr. Franklin is preceded in death by his sister, Irene; and brother, Sonny.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Franklin; sons, Edward A. (Jennifer) Franklin and Jeffrey R. Franklin; daughter, Sally (Daryl) Dotson; siblings, Janea Franklin, Jim Franklin, Lela (Jerry) Golden, Michael (Glenda) Hogg and Susan (Eugene) Greer; and 7 grandchildren, Megan (John), Jessica, Austin, Andrew, Katya, Dylan and Justin. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View assisted the family with these arrangements.
