Edward’s Obituary Edward Lehmann, 86, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Interment will be at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Son of the late Albert and Ozella (Helwig) Lehmann, Edward was born on December 24, 1932, in Deanville, Texas. He is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and served in the United States Army in the 1950s, stationed in Germany.

While in Austin he met his future bride, Betty J. Harris, whom he married in 1956. Edward worked for 40 years as an insurance adjuster for Crawford and Company, which brought him to Wichita Falls with his family in the 1970s. Edward and Betty liked to travel together, spend time with family and good friends, and go dancing, and were active members at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Edward enjoyed spending his time outdoors – gardening, golfing, fishing, and farming, and he enjoyed watching football and spending time with his grandchildren. He also very much enjoyed meeting friends for lunch at the Red Door and his weekly game of poker. Edward was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Betty; and a brother, Leon.

He is survived by his children, David Lehmann of Houston, TX, Diane Lehmann of Wichita Falls, Laurie Preston and husband Robert of Pensacola, FL, and Janet Delventhal and husband Rex of Strongsville, OH; and grandchildren, Andrew and Alyssa Lehmann, Kyle and Cody Preston and Mitchell, Brooke and Casey Delventhal.
