Edward Joseph Schaffner, Jr. (Ed), 77, of Ramsey, NJ previously of Boise, ID passed away on September 5, 2018. He was surrounded by his loving family. Ed was born on October 11, 1940 in Bergenfield, NJ to Margaret and Edward J. Schaffner, Sr

He followed in his grandfather and father’s footsteps and owned his own construction company – Schaffner Construction. Ed was an avid outdoorsman and loved a good cowboy boot, but his first love was always his family. He is survived by his adoring wife Connie, his 3 daughters – Robin Pinelle of Manchester, NH, Christy Schaffner of Hoboken, NJ, and Erin Schaffner of New York, NY, his 2 grandsons – Ryan Chani of Boston, MA and Ben Schaffner of Manchester, NH, and loving nephews, nieces and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 4-8 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11 AM at St. Paul R.C. Church in Ramsey. Cremation will be private.
