Eileen Lucille Smith, 100, formerly of York Center and West Mansfield, died Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Memorial Gables. A 1935 graduate of Quincy High School, she was a homemaker, a former member of the York Center United Methodist Church. She loved to play Bingo at the Gables.

Born October 14, 1917 in Quincy, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Opal (Kaylor) Cummings. In 1936, she married Lewis Smith and he preceded her in death on April 13, 1993. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rita Fry; 4 brothers, Lawrence, Herschel, Lewis and Clifford Cummings, and a sister, Evelyn Skidmore.

She is survived by her children, Jim (Sharon) Smith of Mississippi, Fred (Arthena) Smith of Marysville, Dan (Melinda) Smith of Broadway, Sam Smith of Mt. Victory; 16 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 34 great great grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Quay of Mt. Victory and Shirley Kidd Arizona; brothers, Richard (Marlene) Cummings of Mt.

Victory, Rody Cummings of Blackfoot, ID, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 6, 2018 at Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel 222 W. Center St. West Mansfield. Reverend Mike Griffith will officiate and burial will follow at the York Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Activities Fund at Memorial Gables. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.
