Eugene “Gino” Scarsciotti, 56, of E. Syracuse, passed away at home Saturday surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Syracuse and worked for the NYSDOT out of Camillus for many years before retiring and was past president of CSEA Local 528. Gino is survived by his children; Anthony and Gina Scarsciotti, both of E. Syracuse, mother; Josephine Nelson, of E. Syracuse, father; Paul (Mary) Scarsciotti, of Lyncourt, siblings; Denise (Greg) Karandy, Paul (Joann) Scarsciotti, Jr and Karen (Con) Saya, all of E. Syracuse, step-brother; John (Patty) Farruggio, step-sister; Margaret (John) Ware, nieces and nephew; Nicole (Dan) Butler, Con Saya, Jr and Kaitlin Saya, great-nephew; Liam Butler, 3 aunts, and uncle and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held 8:00 am Wednesday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9:00 am at St. Matthews Church, E. Syracuse, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will follow in the Cremation Center at Woodlawn, Syracuse. Inurnment will be in Assumption Cemetery at a later date.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Please offer online memories and tributes at www.
