Obituary for Mrs. Eunice Davis Vaughan Eunice Davis Vaughan, 88, beloved wife of the late Willis Thompson Vaughan, Jr., passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018, at GHS Lila Doyle. Mrs. Vaughan was a graduate of Oakway High School and Anderson College. On January 27, 1952, she married Willis Thompson Vaughan, Jr

They had been blessed with 43 years of marriage at the time of his death in 1995. Mrs. Vaughan was the daughter of the late Luther Harold and Ethel Franks Davis. She was employed by Nations Bank (Bank of America) and retired with 25 years’ service.

Mrs. Vaughan was a member of Seneca Baptist Church, the Ruth Sunday School Class, a teacher in the Children II Sunday School Class, Joy Singers and the Golden Age Club. Mrs. Vaughan is survived by her son: David T. Vaughan (Denise) of Seneca; daughter: Renee V. Carpenter (Gene) of Seneca; three grandchildren: Ryan Haning (Shelley), Tyler Vaughan (Taylor) and Caleb Vaughan; great-grandchildren: Hunter and Chandler Haning and Jena and Miller Vaughan; step-grandson: Tim Carpenter; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Vaughan was preceded in death by her sisters: June D. Lewallen and Ruth D. Timms; and step-grandson: Daniel Carpenter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Wednesday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted.
