Obituary for Mrs. Jannie Lue Vaughn George Jannie Lue Vaughn George, 88, wife of the late Edward Ray George, of 620 Friendship Road, Salem, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018, at GHS Cottingham Hospice House. A native of Walhalla, SC, Mrs. George was the daughter of the late James R. and Bessie Hinton Vaughn. She retired from Grow Industries and was a member of Isaqueena Church of God.

Mrs. George is survived by her son: Milton George (Diane) of West Union, SC; daughters: Louise Hendrix (Roger) of Westminster, SC and Jeanette Wilson of Walhalla, SC; seven grandchildren: Tony, Keri, Sammy, Scotty, Yancey, Leslie and Kimberly; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. George was preceded in death by her brother: M.D. “Doc” Vaughn; and several half brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Thursday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted. The family is at the home.
