Obituary for Evelyn Marie Layton Evelyn Marie Layton, 83, of Summerville, wife of the late Clarence Charles Layton, Jr, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at her residence. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 12 o’clock until hour of service at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 1 o’clock.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959. Evelyn was born on April 16, 1935 in Watertown, NY, daughter of the late Leo and Amelia Lalonde. She loved her family and supporting different charities.

She also loved doing word searches. Survivors include: three children: Myrna Murphy (Jay), Susan Callihan (Brian) and Chuck Layton (Stacey) all of Summerville; grandchildren: Jason Murphy, Jeremy Murphy, Melissa Honour, Matthew Honour, Megan Wills, Kori Whitt (Ray), Ryan Fore, Charles Fore, Kelsey Gardner (Tommy); great grandchildren: Trey, Micah, Hayden, Logan, Mackenzie, Peyton, Maddox, Jackson and Cooper; sister: Ruth Lafoe (Lou) of Leesville, LA and Alice Labouf (Mickey) of Homer, NY; brothers: Earl Lalonde of Macedon, NY, Leo Lalonde, Jr. of Carthrage NY and Steven Lalonde of AZ. She was predeceased by two sisters: June C. Hare and Leona Primmer; two sons: Rickey Layton and Joey Layton.
