Obituary for Timothy “Timmy” L. Whitt Timothy “Timmy” L. Whitt, 63 of Hollywood, husband of Jill Harrison Whitt, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at Roper Hospice Cottage, Mt. Pleasant. Family and friends are invited to attend Timmy’s visitation on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, from 6 to 8 o’clock at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 5412 Hwy.

165, Hollywood. His funeral service will be Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 1 o’clock at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Christ St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Cemetery, 4981 Chapel Road, Hollywood.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 5412 Hwy. 165, Hollywood, SC 29449 or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Timmy was born February 24, 1955, son of the late Dorothy Antley Whitt and Joseph Samuel Whitt, Sr. Timmy graduated from Trident Technical College after completing a course of study in Industrial Electricity.

He was employed by Frontier Communications. He enjoyed being on the Toogoodoo River crabbing and shrimping. In the last two- and one-half years his favorite past time was being PaPa to his grandson, Brantley.

He was well loved by his family, friends and community. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Jill, two daughters: Megan H. Whitt of Hollywood and Amy H. Whitt of Hollywood; one grandson: Brantley H. Hanna of Hollywood; two brothers: Charles C. Whitt of Bamberg, SC and James G. Whitt of Hollywood and several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by one brother: Joseph S. Whitt, Jr. and one sister: Carolyn Whitt McDaniel. The family wishes to thank Charleston Hematology Oncology Associates and the staff at Roper Hospice Cottage for the care and kindness shown to Timmy.
