Everett “Luke” William Lucas May 21, 1937 – March 19, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Everett “Luke” William Lucas, age 81, of Shelbyville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at the Shelbina Villa, in Shelbina, Missouri. Luke was born on May 21, 1937, in Macon, Missouri, the son of James Everett and Gene Marie (Taylor) Lucas. He was united in marriage to Lillie Mae Rufener on October 5, 1957 in Anabel, Missouri.

She survives. He is survived by his three children, Bobby Lucas and special friend, Brenda Wright, of Shelbina, Missouri, Cindy Cooper and husband Pat of Shelbina, Missouri, and Shane Lucas of Shelbyville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Justin Lucas, Rachel Lucas, Tim Arment, Kaci Klusmeyer, and Faith Steele; seven great grandchildren, Aiden Lucas, Vanessa Davis, Regan Cabe, Katelin Arment, Aubrey Klusmeyer, Braylee Klusmeyer, and June Ronzio; one sister, Linda Vigil and husband Don of Arkansas; two dogs, Mouse and Thor; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one infant sister, Donna Fae Lucas.

Luke was a graduate of Clarence High School in 1955. He worked as a mechanic and enjoyed working and fixing small engines. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.

He liked to have a good time, and enjoyed pranking and joking with others. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his two dogs, Mouse and Thor. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 6pm at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, Missouri.

A visitation will precede the service from 4pm to 6pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Hannibal, Shelbina Villa, or Donor’s Choice.
