Larry Dee Quisenberry November 20, 1943 – March 05, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Larry Dee Quisenberry, PhD, was born November 20, 1943, in Mexico, Missouri to Francis Austin Quisenberry and Frances Arlene (Courton) Quisenberry. He married Sharron S. (Grogan-Bailey) Quisenberry, PhD, October 8, 1965, who survives. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Larry received a B.S. Ed in Business from Truman State University in 1966 and an MA in School Administration in 1975. He earned a PhD in School Administration with a minor in Accountancy from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1978. He was a Principal and Business teacher at Lewis County, Missouri, before entering the service during Vietnam where he served as a Naval Intelligence Officer in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and at the Defense Intelligence Agency, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

He served as an accountant with the US House of Representatives after leaving the service and before returning to graduate school. Larry served as an Assistant High School Principal and Principal in Missouri School districts before joining his wife in Louisiana where he worked with educational and medical groups. Larry finished his career in higher education specializing in data management and grant procurement retiring from Iowa State University in 2012.

Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30 am, Friday, March 15, 2019, in the Immaculate Conception Church in Macon, Missouri, followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 am. Burial, with full military honors, will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you consider donating to the Larry and Sharron Business Scholarship, Office of Advancement, Truman State University, 100 E. Normal Ave.
