Feb 23, 1937-April 21, 2018: Our Dad Skeets was reunited in heaven with the love of his life, our Mom Charlotte, his loving parents, Ella and Fredrick, all of his loving sisters and brothers and many family and friends that preceded him. Dad’s family was his pride and joy. He is survived by his loving children, Yolanda (Dennis) Hoffman Sr., Yovonne (Raymond) Palmatier, Floyd JR.

(Shannon) Degnan, Victor (Murtie) Degnan, loving grandchildren (his team of nine) Dj, Kyle, Nic, Sean, Ben, Elisha, Kylie, Coty, Tracie, his beautiful 15 great grandchildren, brother in law Grover Monk, many loving nieces, nephews, dear friends and a very special, loving friend Maryann McLean. Dad was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran and a retired Teamsters truck driver. Dad was a member of Eagles Club JC.

Dad loved to bowl, our lefty. He also had a love for baseball and was a former Farm league coach in Chenango Forks. He loved college football and playing cards; our Euchre champ!

Dad loved to travel, camping and picnics with family. It didn’t matter where he traveled he knew somebody. Dad grew up on Henry St. and is the last of the “Ole Henry St. gang”.

Dad had a love for life and would do anything for anyone. He always had a story to tell and a joke to crack. We’re sure there will be a lot more laughter in Heaven.

We would like to thank UHS, Dr. Gehring and the caring staff of Hospice. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. Burial will follow in Chenango Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 am.
