Frances J. Brandenburg, 83, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Fort Hamilton Hughes Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio. One of five children of James and Lillian Pence Kitchen, Frances was born in Bartley, West Virginia on March 21, 1935. On November 8, 1953, Frances married Hobart Brandenburg in Laurel, Indiana.

Frances enjoyed supporting her husband by playing the piano while he was the minister of several churches for over 40 years. They served churches in Rushville, Sunman, Lawrenceburg, Indiana and Darrtown, Ohio. Mr. Brandenburg Survives.

Besides playing the piano at church, Frances enjoyed spending time with her family. Always happy and encouraging, she will be greatly missed by many. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Hobart Brandenburg; a son, Donald (Vicki) Brandenburg of Hamilton, Ohio; a daughter, Joyce (Ray) White of Greensburg, Indiana; four grandchildren, Thomas E. Uhl, Travis T. Uhl, William (Anja) Smith, Kelly Ann (Steve) Estes; eleven great-grandchildren, Owen B. Howard, Isaiah Uhl, Christina and Kris Bratton, Marie J. Ball, Joshua Jackson, Alex, Ethan, Emma, and Kayla Smith, and Rakiya Smith-Lyons; three great-great-grandchildren, Leeanne Bratton, Maddox Bratton, Evelaina Smith; and a sister, Betty Reece of Metamora, Indiana.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Henry Smith; a daughter, Judy L. Brandenburg; a grandson, Joseph R. Brandenburg; two brothers, Donald and Neil Kitchen; a sister, Ida Mae Kitchen. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Pastor Vernon Williams, Pastor Tom Holt, and Pastor Chuck Gerrian will officiate.
