OBITUARY Raymond Smith April 14, 1943 – July 21, 2018 Raymond Richard Smith, 75, of Connersville died July 21, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. On April 14, 1943 Raymond was born at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio to Richard and Mae Thompson Smith. Raymond was employed for the City of Richmond where he focused on the maintenance of Glen Miller Park.

He was previously employed in the maintenance departments at the Richmond Square Mall and the Richmond State Hospital. Richard was a member of the Richmond Moose Lodge 167 and Calvary Baptist Church, Connersville. He was a jokester who loved making people laugh, especially his grandchildren, whom he loved with his whole heart.

Raymond loved country music and would dance to any genre. He will be remembered for always doing the best he possibly could. Raymond is survived by his wife, Kay Smith, who he married on May 6, 2004 at the Richmond Court House; his children: Teddy Smith of Winamac; Dawn Hall; John Harris of Lynn; Chris Harris and his wife, Anita of Connersville; Jeanette Fisher and her husband, Brad of Lynn; his siblings: Dennis Smith and his wife, Kelly of Richmond; Jack Smith of Richmond; Ronnie Smith of Dayton; Russell Smith of Wilmington; Brenda Smith of Dayton; April Smith; Gloria Smith of Dayton; fourteen grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
