Claudette J. Finnell, 83, of Connersville passed away Saturday evening, July 28, 2018, at Caroleton Manor. A daughter of Frances and Mattie L. Robbins Evans, Claudette was born in Connersville on June 19, 1935, and graduated from Connersville High School with the class of 1953. Claudette always held her family and her faith in high regard.

She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Higher Praise Worship Center where she attended the Adult Sunday School Class and was active with Helping Hands Ministry. For many years, she would make weekly visits to the nursing home, offering comfort to those in need. Survivors include two sons, Gary (Brenda) Evans of Paducah, Kentucky and Anthony Finnell of Oxford, Ohio; five grandchildren, Zach Finnell, Eric Finnell Alexandra Evans, LaShantaia Evans, and Tonya Lee; several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sharon Evans, Lovell Evans, and Geraldine Brown; two brothers, Clayton Evans and Gerald Evans; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Claudette was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Kayla Evans; three sisters, Clotila Jones, Phyllis Campbell, and Deloris Chandler; five brothers, Frances Evans, Jr., Clarence Evans, Joseph Evans, Norman Evans, and Michael Evans. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Higher Praise Worship Center, 812 Ziegler Road, Connersville, Indiana. Pastor Richard Ware will officiate.
