Marilyn Kay (Hauri) Rose, 73, of Connersville went home to be with the Lord,surrounded by her loving family on Monday evening, July 23, 2018 at Reid Health, Richmond, Indiana. She was born February 27, 1945, one of six children of Joseph Anthony and Ruth Claire Eckerle Hauri and was a 1963 graduate of Connersville High School. On December 29, 2004, she was married to Herbert “Herbie” Rose, who died in December of 2006.

She was a devoted Homemaker, but she had also been employed with the Dept of Agriculture and had worked as a waitress at Lakeview Restaurant. In 1985, Marilyn became employed at Visteon until the plant closing in 2007. In her leisure, she enjoyed both flower and vegetable gardening, crocheting, enjoyed all nature but especially watching birds including her favorite the hummingbird.

Marilyn was a very good cook and also enjoyed spending time crocheting, knitting, sewing and spending time with her family. Survivors include three children, Melissa K. (Wade) Morrow, of Greensboro, North Carolina, April M. (Wayne) Burris, of Connersville and Joseph E. (Dee) Reisert, of Cambridge City; seven grandchildren, Clay (Angela) Morrow, Michelle(Shaun) Lane, Anthony(Autumn) Reisert, Katelyn Burris, Kylee Smith, Noah Weisheit, and Karly Smith ; great-grandchildren, Aly Morrow, Colby Morrow, Luci Morrow,and Conor Lane; her mother, Ruth Hauri, of Norman, Indiana; three brothers, Francis Gene (Patty) Hauri and Richard (Deanna) Hauri, both of Connersville and Melvin Hauri, of Norman, Indiana; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband, Herbert Rose, who died December 10, 2006, she is preceded by a son, Edwin Charles Reisert, who died November 20, 2004; her father, Joseph Hauri; two sisters, Barbara Brandenburg and Josephine Gossett.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM, Friday, July 27, 2018 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Mullins officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 until 7 PM Thursday and anytime at millermosterrobbins.com.
