Frances was born on October 29, 1923 in Cookeville Tennessee to William T. Terry & Clara Ann (Judd) Terry. She married Shelby Clark Smith July 17, 1943, in Cookeville, TN, and they had a loving marriage until his passing July 9, 1998, in Torrance CA.

Frances was a Godly Woman, a faithful member of the Church of Christ who loved our Lord. She was kind, loving, generous, and selfless. She would never say a harsh word to or about anyone.

Truly a virtuous woman. She was also an amazing country-style cook and loved baking. Her family and all who crossed her path enjoyed her pies, cakes, pastries, rolls, cookies, Easter & Christmas candies.

She was a seamstress of clothing, lingerie, evening and wedding gowns. Frances was also a canner, a quilter, a gardener and was called MacGyver for her quick fixes and ingenuity. She drove till she was ninety.

She was often called the “Energizer Mama”. Although she slowed a bit the last few years of her life, we will remember all the amazing things she did in her life for so many people. Frances lived in Michigan, Texas, California and Arizona.

She is survived by her children Clark Smith, Caliente, CA, Vaughn Smith, Laguna Hills, CA, Anthony Smith and wife Pan (Motes) Smith, Sacramento, CA. and Frankey Ann (Smith) Cucinotta, Scenic, AZ, her grandchildren; Tona Cucinotta (Stenson), Las Vegas, NV, Michele Cucinotta (Bullock), Mesquite, NV and Michael and wife Shelley Cucinotta, Salt Lake City, UT, and her greatgrandchildren; Bobby and Shelby Stenson, Wyatt, Mitchel and Charlyann Bullock, Kylee and Adison Cucinotta, Dylan and Letisha Kelsey. She is the last of seven children.

She is preceded in death by Vivian (Terry) Bennett, November 10, 1963, Cleveland, OH, Woodford Terry, February 21, 1995, Oak Ridge, TN, Mary (Terry) Bennett, January 18, 1999, Knoxville, TN, Clark Terry, August 30, 2011,Bad Axe, MI, Christine (Terry) Norris, January 7, 2018, Clinton, TN and Josephine Terry, B: October 1, 1929 D: March 28, 1941, Cookeville, TN. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Virgin Valley Mortuary, 320 E. Old Mill Rd. , Mesquite, NV 89027, with viewing services 1:00-1:45 p.m. PST, with the Funeral Service 2:00 p.m. Interment will be November 9th, in Smyrna Cemetery in Cookeville Tennessee.
