Obituary for Frances Rogers Francis Ruth Rogers December 6, 1930 – July 17, 2018 Francis Ruth Rogers, 87, a longtime Cashmere resident, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Central Washington Hospital. She was born on December 6, 1930, at Omak, WA, to the late Raymond and Ruth (Cook) Pipkin. They made moves between Omak and Southern California, settling on a family ranch near Blythe, CA.

She attended school and received education in Blythe. She met and was later married to Richard W. Rogers in December of 1950. They made their first home together in Blythe until relocating to Grant’s Pass, OR, in the early 1960s.

They moved to make their home in Cashmere, WA, in 1989. Francis was a baker and worked in many bakeries, including both Safeway and Albertsons bakeries in Grant’s Pass. Francis is survived by her sons: Blane Rogers, of Twisp, WA, Brad (Mary Ann) Rogers, of Riverside, WA, and Allen Rogers, of Cashmere, WA; brothers: William “Ed” Pipkin, of Pateros, WA, Keneth (Liz) Pipkin, of Cashmere, WA, George Pipkin, of Cashmere, WA; sisters: Mary (Jim) Rieve, of Cashmere, WA, Lilly Miller, of Cashmere, WA, Martha Snyder, of Wenatchee, WA, Rachel (Ken), of Fresno, CA; granddaughter, Danielle Simpson, of Eugene, OR, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her brothers: Amos, Bruce, Frank, and David; sister, Frankie Moore and an infant sister, parents and her husband, Richard W. Rogers in 1994. A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday July 24, 2018, at the Cashmere Cemetery, located on the corner of Evergreen and Pioneer Drive in Cashmere, WA. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Memorial Chapel, East Wenatchee.
