Frank Edward Richards November 09, 1944 – January 25, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences Frank Edward “Eddie” Richards, age 74, Bluff City went to his Heavenly Home on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born September 9, 1944 in Elizabethton to the late Frank B. & Carmen Grace”Peggy” Jenkins Richards. Frank served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a medic at Ft.

Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. He then worked for UPS for 39 years after retirement in 2007. Frank has enjoyed hunting, traveling and visiting his daughter & grandchildren after retiring.

He was a member of Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Frank Edward, Jr., and a brother: Jimmie Alden. Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Cathy Sturgill Richards: daughter Claudia Richards Lewis (Danny) of Rocklin, CA; grandson: Daniel Jacob Lewis and granddaughter: Addie Louise Lewis both of Rocklin, CA.

Several nieces and nephews also survive. Special friends: Ed McDuffie, Greg Glover and David Marion. Graveside Services will be held at Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jamie Ferguson and Pastor Rusty Verran.

Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Monday will be: William Barnett, Mark Blevins, Greg Glover, Bill Hartley, Jim Hartley, Doug Lewis, David Marion, Ed McDuffie, Kevin Minton, Charles Townsend and Myles White. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Addie Lewis, Daniel Lewis, Danny Lewis, Ben Adams, Chloe Adams, Logan Adams, Butch Crewey, Kevin Crewey, Cecil Eggers, Jim Ferguson, Charlie Glover, Jack Jenkins, Bill Sturgill and Bob Sturgill. Friends may visit with the family at his residence.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 1727 Chinquapin Road, Bluff City, Tenn. 37618, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tn. 38105 or Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson Street, Nashville, Tenn.
