Ruth Ann Peters April 13, 1947 – January 25, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences Ruth Ann Peters, 71, Elizabethton passed away peacefully Friday, January 25, 2019 in the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late James Cress and June Gentry Houston. Ruth was a graduate of Unaka High School.

She was an active member of Bethel Church. Survivors include her husband of 44 years: David Peters. A Daughter: Jennifer Ann Treadway, Rustburg, Virginia.

One Sister: Gladys Plummer, Elizabethton. Several nieces & nephews. A Service to celebrate the life of Ruth Peters will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Charles Pearce and Mr. Terry Whitson officiating.

Graveside Service and Interment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2019 in the Caldwell Springs Cemetery. Music will be provided by Debbie Pearce. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday to go to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Ruth to Bethel Church, 646 Gap Creek Road, Elizabethton, Tn.
