Johnson, 89, Hampton passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at his residence. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late William “Bill” & Hettie Johnson. Mr. Johnson Served in the United States Air Force.

He was retired as a CNA at the VA. Hospital. He was a member of Hampton First Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his daughter; Robin Dawn Johnson Shaffer. Survivors include his wife of 63 years: Della Mae Lewis Johnson. Several nieces & nephews.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Lewis Cemetery, Hampton with Chaplain Chris Hughes officiating. Burial will follow the service. Active Pallbearers will be: J.D. Lewis, Steve Lewis, Carlos Lambert and Johnny Lewis.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Kenneth Bass, Don Banner, Carl Lewis and Stan Johnson. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon to 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home or the residence, Military Honors will be provided by the Carter County Honor Guard.
