Peggy Ann Buchanan Vines January 28, 1931 – January 05, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences Peggy Ann Buchanan Vines, 87, Johnson City, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 in the Four Oaks Healthcare Center, Jonesborough after an extended illness. A native of Johnson City, she was a daughter of the late Vallie Dallas & Lucy Bell Greer Buchanan. She was a Homemaker.

Mrs. Vines was a member of the Johnson City Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years: Roy Paul Vines who passed away March 4, 2010, by a sister: Barbara Gordy, a brother: John Acuff Buchanan and a grandson: Robert Wyatt, Jr. Survivors include her children and their spouses: James Thomas & wife Janeane, Fresno, California, JoAnn Whitehead & husband Selwyn, Magnolia, AR. , Charles Thomas, Jr. & wife June, Chuckey, Tenn.

, Jerry Thomas & wife: Vera, Jonesborough, Tn. and John Vines, Johnson City. Five Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren.

One sister: Bonell Deaner, Kingman, AZ. Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 in the Roselawn Memorial Park with Pastor Greg Wagner officiating. Burial will follow the service.

The family would like to express a special “Thank You” for the excellent care and support she received during her stay at Four Oaks. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Vines to the donor’s favorite charity. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Thursday.
