Mr. Frank Noblitt, age 80, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 following a period of declining health at Hospice of Carolina Foothills in Forest City. Frank was born in Marion on October 25, 1937 to the late Forest and Georgia Noland Noblitt. He enjoyed fishing, walking and working outdoors.

Frank will be remembered for his knowledge of the history of McDowell County, which he enjoyed discussing with other people. Frank leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Janet Jaynes Noblitt; a daughter Frankie Jane Noblitt; a son Gary Noblitt; and several nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance and celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Westmoreland Funeral Home in Marion.

Rev. Ray Patrick will be officiating. The family will receive friends and family following the funeral service.
