FRED’s Obituary Fred Noah Medenwaldt, 72 years old Lake Villa, IL passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL. He was born January 11, 1947 in Laona, WI the son of the late Noah and Delia (DiUlio) Medenwaldt. On June 6, 1970, he married Donna Enders in Laona, WI.

They began their family in Lansing, MI, made their way to Buffalo Grove, IL and settled in Lake Villa 16 years ago. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed lending a hand at his daughter’s craft distillery in his retirement.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Donna; two daughters, Michelle (Joe) McConville of Lindenhurst, IL and Noelle (Jay) DiPrizio of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren, Payton, Emmitt, Massimo and Sonny; a brother, Donald (Jane) Medenwaldt of Abbotsford, WI; and stepsiblings, John (Jan) Gilligan of Laona, WI and Jeanne Laver of Aurora, IL. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Medenwaldt; his stepmother, Josephine Medenwaldt, and stepbrother, James Gilligan. A celebration of his life will be held in Laona, WI later this year.
