GEORGIA’s Obituary Georgia Lee Herman, 87 years old of Lindenhurst, IL, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at her home. She was born June 7, 1931 in Witt, IL, the daughter of the late William and Helen Lois (nèe Eddington) Hadley. On February 4, 1953, Georgia married Wayne Paul “Butch” Herman at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Witt, IL and he preceded her in death on February 23, 2017.

Georgia worked as a rep for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 30 years and as an office clerk for Dr. Dennis Thain’s office in Antioch. She also taught sewing in the 4-H Club and loved cooking, gardening, and traveling. But most of all, she loved her family, especially following her grandchildren.

Georgia is survived by her children, Pam (Glenn) Lynn, Mark (Kimberly), Greg (Cherylann); her eight grandchildren, Krissy (Tom) Lehn, Andy (Lauren) Lynn, Greg (Kelly) Lynn, Abigail (Adam) Haigh, Jacob Herman, Jacqueline Herman, Maxx Herman, Maggy Herman and six great-grandchildren, Drew, Alexandra, Hadley, Ainsley, James, and Lennyn; her siblings, Rosalie (Charles) King, Martha Hadley, and Keith (Anita) Hadley, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00PM on Monday, January 28, 2019 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. Antioch, IL 60002, with visitation from 4:00PM until the start of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Millburn Cemetery, Old Mill Creek, IL.
